Transformers: Dark Of The Moon, Transform's the series to a breathtaking 3D experience

Sentinel Prime: Optimus I did this to save Cybertron
Optimus Prime: This is our home now

                                                              **** 1/2 out of *****

Around November of last year (2010) there was word of a new Transformers movie. When I heard this new's I really didn't know what to think, I never had a problem with the first two films except the drama related to the films, and I honestly didn't want to sit threw a love affair film again with a tiny bit of robot's on the side. This movie was a complete opposite of the last two, it's witty, action packed, funny, and breathtaking, the 3-D in this film was completely amazing, and it was defiantly fun and action packed. This film certainly has a better story and plot to it then Revenge Of The Fallen, and it's a attention catcher, I never took my eyes of the screen for this film, the story is,America has been hiding a secret for years from the Auto bots and that secret was a ship crashed on the moon during Apollo 11 and this has been hidden from years, it's finally let out and Optimus Prime is pissed, he hears word one of his kind Sentinel Prime is alive and in sleep mode n the moon and thinking he can help he saves him and that's a big mess, Sentinel want's to bring Cyberton to earth destroying man kind, and  the Auto bots won't let it happen, they team up with the us army and Sam again to save the earth.

Now the story isn't bad at all, the only thing that gets me is this new chick Rosie Whiteley, she plays Carly Miller, Sam's new girlfriend, and she is a terrible actress, I didn't like her, I missed Fox in this, but other than that the acting was good, the effects were great as always and the 3D was just amazing, if there's one movie you have to see in 3D this year it's this, I also thought the transformation scenes in this was astonishing, and were worked on greatly in te past two years, I loved this film, it was completely awesome. The Decepticons in this film were interesting, Megatron's back, Shockwave's in it and Senitinel is in this film, the Decepticons and Auto-bot's were greatly detailed ans amazing looking, the fighting sequences were nice and long and not chopped up, I liked that, and it was allot slower than the other battles in the previous film's, the movie really set's new standards and shows improvement which is good, because the last film was lacking in creativity, and that doesn't suit me well, all in all I have to give the film 4 1/2 stars because it was a excellent film and I liked it allot, the effects, characters and 3D were great, the plot and story were good, but the new chick...NO, I say it's a great time, it's fun, funny, and just great! go even in 3D! I'd say IMAX 3D, but there was no IMAX 3D locations near me...so my loss!

Transformers: Dark Of The Moon 3D Before Thoughts

Four years ago, Michael Bay introduced us to a film based of a action figures, before the film was released and even had news on a sequel everyone was pretty excited about it, until the pre-screenings and it was getting slammed. I always enjoyed the Transformers film's but there not for everyone, Michael Bay isn't liked by everyone, and is as described by his ex-client (Megan Fox) as "Hitler" and I never really had a problem with him or (Some) of his films, he likes, and is very good at visuals but has a hard time convincing his audience he works hard on his script and plots (Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen). There has been a sequel for Transformers,  Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen, which has been described as "Horrible" which it wasn't, but the film was rushed and Michael Bay himself admit's the story sucked and was rushed, and put together in two weeks, which wasn't a surprise, but hopefully the third film is better than the two seeing it has the best story, and character's, and for the first time is in 3-D (shot in 3-D), and if there is one film that should be in 3D, it would be Transformers.

My thought's on this film are good, I think it looks good, and not too sloppy, actually looks pretty well put together, but I really don't know what to expect, the 3D looks exceptionally good, and it should be a great experience, but that gimmick isn't going to let me look past the fact this film may be horrible, I never had too many problems with Transformers, except the story for Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen, but I have a good felling about this film. The only sad thing I have to say about this film, is no Megan Fox, and thats gonna suck, because she made a icon as "Makayla" in Transformers and not seeing her in this is going to be weird, but the new chick, Rossie Huntington Whitley is hot, but I'm hearing shes a horrible actress, and when Megan Fox isn't the best, she made that character and she'll always be remembered as "That Hot Chick", We still have Shia Labeouf, and the rest of the cast returning, but a new story, when a secrets been kept for a long time about the dark of the moon and the Autobot's figure out the human race has lied for years, and it looks like another rock em' sock em'  robot film with tons of action and violence that makes the film hype, but I'm hoping its gonna be great.

Opening This Weekend: Pxars weakest looking film, and Cameron Diaz's exploitation film.

This weekend (June 24th 2011) there are films being released and I am here to express my feelings on them. The first film being released is John Lasseter's weakest looking film Disney Pixar's Cars 2, and the truth is this film looks terrible, when it was announced that the weakest movie from Pixar Cars was going to have a sequel I cringed, I didn't enjoy Cars to begin with and a sequel sounds unnecessary. During Alice and Wonderland in 2010 I saw the teaser trailer, and it looked boring and terrible, and of course Disney will bring this film to the top box office using there largest gimmick "Disney Digital 3D", and many kids will want to see this and it makes me cringe to think about it. The plot follows Lighting McQueen and Mater going to Europe and Japan to compete in the Grand Prix, and they are mistaken for "Master- Spy's" yeah, spy's.....Stupid, hu? I seriously hate these franchise films (other than Toy Story) that are unnecessary, but besides the point that it's stupid its just not going to get any attention from "REAL" Disney fans, because it's not original and its...just stupid, so..I am probably not going to be seeing Cars 2 in 3D or on blu-ray for that matter...Next, we have Bad Teacher, a comedy starring Cameron Diaz, about a foul mouthed teacher that tries to win a state competition to make money to get a new pair of breast to attract a substitute teacher, the film looks pretty funny, but it couldn't be too good, there's too many film's that use comedy to attract a large audience, and quite frankly it annoys me, because there is so many films that suck and are unfunny, and there's only a few done right, but it could be good, I probably will end up seeing this opening weekend, but I can't guarantee anything, so you should probably check with Aaron Neuwirth (www.whysoblu.com) and get a review from him. That is this weekends movie alert and make sure to follow me Via Gmail or Twitter!

Green Lantern Pretty but not Witty...but 3-D is a MUST!

"Hal Jordan: One of the things a Green Lantern is supposed to be is fearless, and that isn't me"
                                                     **** /*****4 out of 5 stars

The summer of 2011 has been scheduled to be  filled with a ton of superhero films so far, including, Thor, X-men: First Class and the anticipated Captain America: First Avenger, however, The Green Lantern is the only movie based of a DC comic coming out this summer, and it is one of the best, in my opinion this film was exceptionally good, and I am a big fan of The Green Lantern comic series and the animated films, it really lives up to the hype and is a really fun film, its a very short adaption, but a very good one, the scenes and special effects are really well done, the only problem with The Green Lantern and me? The script seems to be lacking a bit, and by that i mean the cheesy dialogue, there's too much unneeded humor and unnecessary jokes, what we wanted was a solid, comic adaption not a comedy, and it seems to be lacking creativity by covering it up with flashy special effects and animation, and I know it could of been so much better, but its still a good film (in my opinion) even though I didn't think the film was going to be as good as it was, I still went in with high expectations, and I did get my mind blown seeing my childhood hero come to life. The planet Oa was well done, and looked amazing( exceptionally in 3D) and I loved the design of all the aliens, and creatures of the Green Lantern Core, I was really happy to see that done right (at least) and the costumes, and animation was swell too, it's certainly "Eye candy", and if you aren't a fan you certainly aren't going to become one watching this film, I can't diss it because I did enjoy it. The film starts out with Abin Sur, one of planet oa's  finest warriors trying to escape "Parralax" (The Power Of Fear) and it scenes he's afraid and he is defeated, and the ring is destined to choose a warrior worth of Abin sur's power, it brings Abin to earth to find a fearless warrior, and that warrior is Hal Jordan, a jet plane flyer who pretends to be fearless, due to the death of his father.

Like I said the production value, and effects are really well done but the dialogue in this film is pretty bad, the story is pretty good, but just has too many complications to it, for example Hector Hammond is in this film as a villain for quite along time while oa and the other Lantern's even Sinestro, Kilowog, and Tomar Re were shortly featured in the film which was disappointing(but Kilowog did call Hal Pooser which is why I rated it 4 instead of 3 1/2) but I really can't be too upset with this film it captured most from the comics, and also shows hal's flashback from his father, I really did enjoy it no matter how many flaws it may have, there is defiantly room for one or two sequels, and I hope they add more action and allot less talking (which I think is going to happen) Cambpell you could have done allot better, but you did at the end of the day make my childhood into a film.

On the last note the 3D in the film is well done also, and is defiantly worth the extra $3.50, since the film is almost completely CGI it is almost all 3-D, but you can still tell its a conversion job, but its the best one I've ever seen, and that also gets the film to 4 stars because I loved the energy off the suit, ring, and the lantern in 3D it was pretty awesome. All in all the film was exceptional and gets a whopping 4 stars from Gabe Hess, Not a surprise because it's very hard for me to dislike a film (especially a comic film)..I say go see it even in 3-D.

Green Lantern in 3D: Before thoughts

This summer one of the biggest comic movies is going to be released (dreadfully in 3D) but the CGI should make the 3D "Worth" a $13.50 Ticket, and America so far hasn't been buying it, this movie is getting slammed by critics everywhere and even one of my critic friends Arron Neuwirth(http://whysoblu.com/) is saying it was "mild fun" and me being a fan boy of Green Lantern, I want a amazing 3D, bad ass experience while it relates to the comics, and I'm doubting that it will be, it looks good, but choppy, Im going to go in to this film hoping that it doesn't suck...Thats my only hope. Back in November when the trailer was released (when I first saw it) it looked lame, but then Trailer 2 came out and it looked cool, then the 3D trailer came out and it was great, Ryan Reynolds isn't perfect for Hal Jordan, I don't think he is at all, I hate that there adding humor in this film, and its a shame every hero film is being "humored up" it's terrible, anyway I think they should of thought about their cast options because Reynolds hes a good guy, not a good Hal Jordan, but i'll have to find out for myself. My favorite character in the Green Lantern Cor. is Killowog, in the comic book, hes very intimidating, but he has a good heart and cares for the new recruit's, however in this film he looks mean and nasty and like a big slop of ass(personality wise, the CGI of kilowogs Amazing) Michael Clark Ducan is doing the voice for Kilowog and director Martin Campbell quotes "He is just perfect for the part" I disagree with that.. In the animated films he is voiced by Henery Rollings, which I think would be a much better choice..but its over and done with now, and I'm writing this "before thoughts" 6 hours before the movie, I just really wish Rollings voice would stick with Kilowog, besides the fact of his scary voice, in trailer 3 he just seems like a ass, I will have to find out. Now for the story...hmmm, Parralax? Comeone! didnt want him in this but oh well, it looks like it could be good, but then again ill find out ( I wonder how many times I've said that) Parralax looks like a animated pile of shit, (he really does) and it just looks bad, I hope this film satisfies me allot more then other people. I will find out for my self tonight when I TRY to enjoy Grenn lantern in Real D 3D.

Super 8 movie review

When I first saw the trailer for this film, I had no idea how to react to it, because I didn't know what it was about,my thoughts on this film were related to E.T, Kid's film a monster and keep him safe.. this was a total opposite. Six kids sneak out at night to shoot a scene for a Zombie movie for a upcoming film festival at a train station, the kids are filming the scene and the main character Joe spot's a car on the train track and KABOOM! it happens, the "Super 8" film spots a undesirable creature (Which explains why the film is named Super 8) and they try to keep it a secret. I will not spoil this film for you, I will tell you it's very good, and really well done, one of the best film's I've ever seen. J.J. Abrams directs this film with creativity, and uses elements from the 60's and 70's to create a amazing, odd, Sci-fi, film. Acting was good, set direction was good, it's a great film, experience it in IMAX for yourself!

3-D is ruining films! PLEASE STOP!

3-D these days has been over used! Everything is in 3-D, Movies, Tv,chips, and even body wash...BODY WASH!? YES! Body wash! Whats next? Hollywood is making bank (money) with these 3-D films, and don't get me wrong I enjoy a 3-D film every now and then but I'm so sick of these crappy conversions and wasting $13.50-$15.00 on something that hurts my head and makes my eyes feel like i got shampoo in them. Most films use 3-D to extend the hype of the film, I heard people say things like "That movie looks gay" then in it's defense another friend/person will add a stupid comment like "Yeah, but it's in 3-D" WHO CARES! Unless the studio takes their time and shoots the film in 3-D and adds thought and creativity into the film I DON'T WANT IT COMING AT ME! After I saw Clash Of the Titans and Last Airbender in mediocre I started getting sick of the fad, seriously it's a waste of money and it hurts my head, usually when it's done right its fun (My Bloody Valentine 3-D, Drive Angry 3-D) its fun but other than that, I'm not a fan. The whole fad started with  Eric Brevig's film "Journey to the center of the earth 3-D" that was pretty cool to see a new take on crisp, clear 3-D, then there was " My Bloody Valentine 3-D" then "UP 3-D" then "Final Destination 3-D" and so on and so on.. How long must movie goers suffer from this!? Really hollywood do us a favor and stop wasting pay checks and go back to traditional 2-D film's, America will be allot happier! We really dont need to see Noah Ringer play with air in 3D! WE DONT!
