Captain America: The first Marvel film to lack action..but still keep me interested

Colonel Chester Phillips: Our mission is to escort Adolf Hitler to the gates of hell

When it was announced Captain America was finally going to be featured on screen I was excited and was hoping it would be action packed and awesome. I didn't hate this film at all, but I can't say I loved it, it was really choppy from telling Steve Rogers story and then it goes straight to him being Captain America, and you barley see any fighting or action sequences, which was the biggest disappointment for me, other than that I thought the film was pretty well done, effects wise and acting and casting, but I was just expecting a little more.

The film is set in 1940, around World War II when the Holocaust took place, and a skinny kid from Brooklyn wants to fight for his country, so he lies on his exam to try to get into the war, and hes denied several times until one day hes overheard talking to his friend Bucky Barnes and he is asked to join the army, then asked to become a super solider, meanwhile there is a asshole named Johann Schmidt going power crazy and wants revenge on Dr. Josef Reinstein for not being able to give him the power he wants, so imagine what goes on from there. The film has a good premise and a good story, I just really wish the action was better because it could have been so good and amazing, but I still really liked this film and I liked how Hugo weaving looked as Red Skull and Chris Evans as Captain america, it was a great transformation, and really cool looking costumes and make up.

The special effects were impressive and also was the 3D seeing it was ANOTHER post conversion 3D job, and it did well too, then a gain I really wished I could of seen more action this film gets *** 1/2stars out of *****.
