Mitch: I am going to ruin her!
Jamie: I gotta cool it on the Thai food
****out of *****
There has been a few "Switch" comedies I am fond of, one of them is Yes, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Lindsay Lohan's switch remake film "Freaky Friday" and when I was let in that Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds had a take on a guy switch film, first thought was "I'm in!". I got invited by Eventful.com to a special screening of "The Change Up" and it was defiantly worth my time, it was a solid comedy with tons of laughs and a somewhat touching story on rushing your life, I really enjoyed the film, especially seeing comedy is my least favorite genre of film, but I can always go for a good comedy now and then, and Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman are always great actors and always give there best performance in all their film's.

The film starts with two friends that knew each other their whole lives, Mitch Planko, and Dave Lockwood, Mitch is a "Actor" who does nothing with his life, and Dave is a family man/ Lawyer that has more time for his job than his smoking hot wife and wonderful kid's. One night the boy's decide to get together and have a few drinks, maybe a few too many, and it leads to pissing in a fountain, to waking up as one another, they have to live in each others shoes for a few days and learn the old lesson, be careful what you wish for. The film had some good elements, great acting, funny jokes, and a great cast, it was really worth my time and made it to the list of one of my favorite comedy films, it used everything well, didn't drag on, or use the sap story for long and I liked that , it kept me entertain and interested.

The film opens this Friday (August 5th 2011) It's defiantly worth seeing, it really works well, and knows what it want's to be, and doesn't try to be funny, it just is, there's no cheesy jokes or dialogue, and it just works, I say go.
